A small amount of cooked green bean adds fibre as an occasional vegetable treat.
One chopped piece per serving without reducing main-diet intake.
Cook until fully soft, chop finely and add no seasoning.
Raw beans are toxic to cats too, and cats have very little need for vegetables.

Cooked beans provide fibre, vitamin K and folate with few calories, and are often suggested by vets as a vegetable treat during weight management.
2-3 cooked pieces per serving (one chopped piece for a small dog), within about 10% of daily energy intake.
Boil or steam until completely soft (never feed raw), cut into short pieces, and add no salt, oil, garlic or bacon.
Raw or partly cooked beans cause vomiting and diarrhoea, usually within hours; canned beans are salty, so rinse them or avoid.
